Distillery tours and tasting

Scotland is the home of whisky and Aberfeldy is home to Dewars Distillery. Take a tour of the distillery to learn how whisky is made before enjoying a dram or two in the award winning whisky lounge. The distillery also has a lovely gift shop and cafe.

Centrally located, Aberfeldy is the ideal base from which to visit other distilleries to enjoy their unique tour and tasting experiences.

Crannog - Walk in the footsteps of the original Crannog dwellers and immerse yourself in village life with original artefacts; demonstrations of textiles, cooking and ancient crafts & technologies

Osprey Experience - Loch of the Lowes Visitor Centre and Wildlife Reserve covers 130 hectares and is home to a pair of breeding ospreys, which nest just 150 metres from an observation hide

Queens View - The Queen’s View in Highland Perthshire overlooks Loch Tummel and is said to have been named after Queen Victoria, following her visit to the area in 1866

Soldiers Leap - the spot where a Redcoat soldier leapt 18ft across the raging River Garry, fleeing the Jacobites

Castle Menzies - located less than a mile from Kirklands the historic Castle Menzies, home to the clan Menzies, dates back to the 12th century and was visited by Bonnie Prince Charlie during the Jacobite Rebellions. Make a visit and if you are brave enjoy an evening ghost tour.
